Welcome to JAGUAR XJ40. com.
This web site is dedicated to the Series four XJ6, more commonly known as the XJ40. Introduced in 1986, the XJ40 was a huge leap forward for Jaguar Cars Ltd in terms of build quality, technology and development. Some motoring journalists reckon it's the model that saved Jaguar from going bust. Even so, these days the XJ40 is much maligned for a number of reasons, must of which are quite unjustifiable. Therefore, I am hoping the development of this web site will highlight all that's good (and bad) about the aforementioned marque and in turn, expand the popularity and interest in these cars based on real ownership experiences. Whether in Jaguar or Daimler guise, six or twelve cylinder, the XJ40 should no longer be referred to as the underdog breed!
As the site grows and depending on it's popularity, I hope to include a live forum for fellow XJ40 owners and drivers to share experiences, knowledge and advice with one another. If there's enough interest, I hope also to develop an owners / enthusiasts club.
